ARIA OS started from a simple frustration: AI tools rent you intelligence by the token, hold your memory in someone else's cloud, and lock you into one vendor's model. We wanted the opposite — a real operating system for AI that runs on your machine, uses the model you already pay for, and keeps your data yours.

So we built it. ARIA OS is a full desktop where every capability is a first-class app — Chat, the Forge build agent, Memory, Files, Mail, Notes, Tasks, and more — all sharing the same assistant and the same private backend. You bring your own model key (Claude, GPT, or your local CLI) with no token markup, and your files and memory stay local, backed up to a private GitHub repository you control.

The principle behind every decision: you bring the work to Aria, never Aria to someone else's tool. New model next month? Switch with a click. New agent or skill? Plug it in. Your memory and workflow stay exactly where they are.

ARIA OS is independently built and operated. We're model-agnostic by design — a layer on top of whichever frontier model is best — so the product gets better as the whole field does.
