Now in beta · v1.0.4

Your AI. Your key.
Your machine.

ARIA OS is a private AI desktop you actually own — a real operating system, not a chat box. Bring your own model key with zero token markup, put the Forge agent to work with a full audit trail, and keep your files and memory on your machine.

The math that changes everything

Stop renting your AI by the token.

Every other tool meters you. Cursor and Codex plans get exhausted in two sessions. ChatGPT throttles you mid-task. You pay more, the moment you actually rely on it.

ARIA flips it. You plug in your own key — Claude, GPT, or your local CLI — and we charge a flat price for the product, never the tokens. Heavy day? Light day? Same price. No caps, no markup, no surprise bill.

The usual way

Metered & throttled

  • Per-token billing with a markup
  • Credits run out mid-project
  • One power user = a 4-figure bill
  • Locked to one vendor's model
The ARIA way

Flat price. Your key. No ceiling.

  • You pay your provider directly — no markup
  • Unlimited usage, your rate limits only
  • $20/mo for the experience, not the inference
  • Swap Claude ↔ GPT ↔ local CLI anytime
Features

Every feature is an app.

Aria doesn't live in a tab. It runs a whole desktop where each capability is a first-class window — all sharing the same memory, the same agent, the same private backend.

Assistant

Chat — meet Aria

Your assistant lives in a real window, remembers everything, and can actually do things — not just talk back.

Autonomy

Forge — the build agent

Hand it a task and it writes code, edits files, and runs commands in your workspace. Codex / Claude-Code grade, with permissions you control.

Recall

Memory that compounds

Persistent, semantic recall across every conversation. Aria remembers your projects, people, and preferences — backed up to your own GitHub.

Forge — the autonomous coworker

Autonomy you can actually trust.

Forge is a real execution agent — it edits files, runs commands, and ships work in your workspace. The difference is transparency: every action is observable, scoped, and reversible.

Three permission modes

Safe inspects and proposes. Ask does normal work, prompts on anything risky. Autonomous runs free in repos you trust — and the safety rails never turn off.

No receipt, no done

Nothing counts as finished without a logged, auditable receipt. No silent edits, no fake “success,” no chain-of-thought or secrets leaking into the log.

Reversible by design

Snapshots before overwrite, a live work stream, and a cancel button that always works.

Never switch tools again.

The AI world reshuffles every month. A new model drops, a hot new agent goes viral, a better tool appears. Everywhere else, that means migrating — relearning, re-importing, starting over.

In ARIA, you just add it. New agent? Plug it in. New skill? Teach it. New model you love? Switch with one click. ARIA is the shell that absorbs whatever comes next — so your memory, your files, and your workflow stay put while the tools evolve around them.

One home for everything. You bring the work to Aria — never Aria to someone else's tool.

Privacy

Your memory lives in your GitHub. Not our cloud.

ARIA runs on your machine. Your files stay local. Your chat and memory back up to a private repo you own and can read — there's no black-box vendor brain holding your life hostage.

Runs on your computer

The desktop app does the work locally. No mandatory data harvesting, no sending your files to someone else's servers to get an answer.

You own the keys

Your model key and secrets are encrypted at rest and never returned to the client. BYOK means no vendor sits between you and your AI.

Portable & inspectable

Memory is backed up to your own private GitHub repo — readable, exportable, and yours forever. Leave anytime with everything.

One brain, every screen

Start on your desktop.
Pick it up anywhere.

The desktop is home base — but Aria follows you. Chat from any browser, ping it from your phone over Telegram, even point it at your screen. Heavy actions run on your desktop when it's online; everything stays in sync.

Why not the alternatives

The intersection nobody else covers.

ChatGPT and Claude are cloud chat. Cursor is coding-only. Ollama and the open-source stack are parts you assemble yourself. ARIA is the one place they all overlap — assembled, owned, and supported.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Why pay when Ollama or Open WebUI are free?+

Those are parts you assemble — plumbing and chat UIs with no OS shell, no audit-trail coding agent, no mail or tasks, no cross-surface, and no owned-memory backup. ARIA is the finished, supported product. The free tools are the engine; ARIA is the car.

I already pay for ChatGPT or Claude. Why another subscription?+

ARIA uses that subscription via your key — there's no second token bill. What you're paying ARIA for is the desktop OS, the Forge agent, persistent owned memory, and cross-device sync that those apps simply don't provide.

Is BYOK a hassle? I don't have an API key.+

It's a one-time paste, and then you never think about token metering again. ARIA also works with your local Claude Code or Codex CLI. A managed-key option for non-technical users is on the roadmap.

An autonomous agent on my machine sounds risky.+

That's exactly why Forge ships with three permission modes and a 'no receipt, no done' audit trail. Safety rails never turn off, every action is logged and reversible, and you grant autonomy deliberately — per workspace, on repos you trust.

Is my data really private if it syncs to the cloud?+

Your files stay local. Your memory and chat back up to your own private GitHub repo — not our servers. Cloud sync is an opt-in convenience for picking up on another device; heavy actions still run on your desktop.

What happens when a better model or agent comes out next month?+

You add it. ARIA is a shell, not a bet on one tool — new model, switch with a click; new agent or skill, plug it in. Your memory, files, and workflow stay exactly where they are while the tools evolve around them. You never have to migrate again.

What if OpenAI or Anthropic just builds this?+

ARIA is model-agnostic — it's a layer on top of whichever frontier model wins, so it benefits from their progress instead of competing with it. And because your data lives in your own GitHub, you're never locked in regardless of what any single vendor does.
